Making space for massage and bodywork
Explore individual bodywork, thoughtful communication and practical preferences so your first visit starts with the questions that matter to you.
Individual time, on your terms
Massage and bodywork may appeal when you want to set aside time for yourself rather than join a class or plan a longer getaway. The private bodywork option is ninety minutes. Think about what makes individual attention appealing to you: quieter time, room to communicate preferences, or simply the opportunity to explore an experience without a group.
You do not have to identify a technique before starting the conversation. It is enough to say that you are interested in bodywork and would like to understand how a visit is approached. Your questions can be ordinary and specific. An unfamiliar term should not stand between you and a useful discussion.
Communicating comfort
Preferences are easier to discuss when they are concrete. You might ask how to communicate about touch, pressure, areas you would prefer not to include, or whether you would like more conversation or less. These are questions to raise, not assumptions about how your session will unfold. You can also ask how preferences can be revisited during the visit.
If explaining everything in writing feels difficult, begin with a short note: “I would like to talk through comfort and communication before deciding.” That tells Sadie what you need from the conversation without requiring a detailed personal history. You can keep the first message focused on the decision in front of you.
First visit or familiar routine?
For a first visit, consider which question would make choosing easier. Perhaps you want to know about arrival, the setting, or how individual preferences are discussed. Pick the question that would most help you feel informed. A simple starting point is often more useful than trying to anticipate every part of the experience.
If bodywork is already familiar, explain what you value without assuming a previous experience will be repeated. You might mention a preference for quiet, a particular communication style, or whether you are considering occasional visits. Ask what is possible here and compare that answer with your priorities.
Bodywork, energy work or water?
Massage, Reiki and Watsu are distinct choices. Their guides sit near one another because visitors may want to compare them, not because one automatically includes the others. If hands on bodywork is your main interest, start with Massage. If a water based setting is central, read the Watsu guide. If you want to explore Reiki or Kundalini specifically, begin with Energy work.
Questions worth bringing
Choose the questions that would make your decision easier.
What should I know before arriving? How can I communicate preferences? What is useful to share beforehand? Where would the visit take place? Asking these questions gives you practical information without needing to guess from an image or a service name.
Your next step
Request a time for private bodywork and include your preferred timing. Optional notes can name one preference or question. A request begins the conversation; the time and arrangements are confirmed with you separately.
